Downtown Ludington Movies in the Park

August 2024

August in Ludington means free movies, on three Thursday nights at dusk in Ludington’s Rotary Park (formerly City Park). Families bring chairs and blankets and find a spot on the cool grass to watch a fun, family friendly movie in the park.

Kids activities that go along with the feature film’s theme and free rides for kids on the S.S. Baby Badger are offered from 7:30pm until about 8:45pm, when the movie starts. Popcorn will be sold by the LHS Business Professionals of America Club throughout the movie as a fundraiser for their group. You may also bring your own snacks. The movies are sponsored by OxyChem and Evergreen Foods Market.

Here's the Movie Line-Up from 2023:

Minions: Rise of Gru

DC League of Superpets

Paws of Fury: Legend of Hawk

Frozen II

Make a night of it by first visiting one of many great Ludington restaurants for a delicious dinner and top it off with an ice cream cone from a local ice cream parlor! And if you still have extra time before the movie begins at sunset, take a walk to Ludington’s North Breakwater Lighthouse off the Stearns Park Beach.
